Upload Documents

Documents are the foundation of your chatbot's knowledge. To upload:

  1. Go to Knowledge Base in the sidebar.
  2. Click Upload and select your files, or drag and drop.
  3. Aimy processes and indexes each document in the background. You'll see a status indicator (processing → ready, or failed with a retry option) for every file.

Supported Formats

Aimy accepts the following file types. Scanned PDFs and images are read with OCR, so even photos of documents can be indexed.

Updating Documents

When you update a document (re-upload or replace it), answers reflect the change once re-indexing finishes — no manual retraining needed. You can also delete documents you no longer need; both the file and its vector embeddings are removed.

Storage Quota

Each plan has a storage limit, shown on the Knowledge Base page along with how much you've used:

  • Free Trial — 2 MB
  • Basic — 20 MB
  • Pro — 50 MB
