Voucher codes

A voucher code pays for all or part of a plan. You type it in when you buy, and the value comes off your bill. A code looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX: six groups of four letters and numbers.

Two kinds of voucher

  • An amount voucher takes a fixed number of ringgit off your total. It works on any plan and either billing period.
  • A plan voucher gives you a number of months of one particular plan. It only works on the plan it was issued for, on either billing period. Using it on another plan is refused, and the message names the plan it belongs to.

A few older vouchers are tied to one plan and one billing period. If you use one in the wrong place, the message says which one it expects.

Where to enter a voucher

There are two places, and both call the field Voucher code.

  • When you buy, upgrade or renew a plan in the hub. The Confirm your order step has a Voucher code (optional) box, with the hint Leave this blank if you do not have one. It is a plain box. There is no Apply button, and the bill above it does not change when you type. See Upgrade and renew.
  • When you create your organisation. The Set up your organisation page has a Voucher code (optional) box, for people who were given one. A valid code is redeemed as the organisation is created.

You can use one voucher for each purchase.

When the code is checked

The code is checked when you choose Continue to payment, before any money is taken. If it does not work, you go back to the plans page with the reason in a red message at the top, and you can correct the code or leave it out.

If it works, the discount is already taken off by the time you reach the payment page, so the amount you are asked to pay is the amount after the voucher. The Payment Successful page and your receipt then show a Voucher discount line, with the code, so you can see what it saved.

Using an amount voucher

  1. Choose your plan and billing period.
  2. Enter the code. The amount comes off the total, never below zero.
  3. Pay what is left. If the voucher covers everything, there is nothing to pay and no card is needed.

Using a plan voucher

A plan voucher covers a number of months. What happens next depends on the billing period you choose.

You chooseWhat you get
MonthlyThe plan is free for the months on the voucher. There is no payment. The hub tells you the plan is now active, for how many months and until when.
YearlyYou get twelve months. The voucher pays for its months, and you pay for the rest, plus SST. A 3 month voucher on a yearly plan means you pay for 9 months.

On Yearly, a voucher is a discount like any other. It comes off the price the same way an amount voucher does, and the usual rules for upgrading and renewing apply. See Upgrade and renew.

The rules about a plan you already have apply only when you choose Monthly, because that is the only time the voucher gives you the plan outright.

  • With no active plan, the new plan starts straight away.
  • If it is the same plan you are on, the voucher adds its months to the end of your current period.
  • If it is a bigger plan, it starts straight away. The time left on your current plan is not carried over or credited.
  • If it is a different plan that is not bigger than yours, it cannot be used yet. The message says you can redeem it once your current plan expires.

Rules

  • A code can only be used as many times as it was issued for, and each account can redeem the same code once.
  • A code can have an expiry date. An expired code is refused with a message saying so.
  • A code can be issued to one person's email address or to one organisation. Only that person or organisation can use it. Anyone else sees This voucher was assigned to someone else or This voucher was issued to another organisation.
  • After 8 wrong codes in a row, voucher checks pause for 15 minutes.

Where codes come from

Codes are issued by SNS Network, by partners and in promotions.

If you bought an eligible SNS Network product, you can claim a code yourself at https://aimy.com.my/redeem.

  1. Open the page and upload your invoice. It accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC or PDF files up to 10 MB.
  2. Check the details it read from the invoice: the Email on your receipt, your phone number, where to send the code, the invoice or order number, the date and where you bought.
  3. Choose the button that verifies your purchase.

When the purchase is verified, the code is shown on screen and emailed to you. If it needs a person to check first, you get a reference number, and the code is emailed once it is confirmed, usually within one business day. Each purchase can be redeemed once.

A code claimed this way is tied to the email address on your receipt. Sign up with that same address, or the voucher is refused as assigned to someone else.

Need help

If a code will not apply, shows an error, or does not give the discount you expected, send a ticket from Submit a ticket in your account menu, or email support@aimy.com.my. Include the code and a short description of what you saw.
