Create your account

You sign up and sign in through the Aimy hub, at aimy.com.my/hub. One hub account works across Aimy products, and Aimy Expert is one of the cards you open from it. This page covers signing up, confirming your email, setting up your organisation, buying your first plan, and keeping your details up to date.

  1. Go to the hub and choose Sign up. The page is titled Create your account.
  2. Fill in Full name, Email, Phone (optional), Password and Confirm password.
  3. Click Create account.

Your password needs at least 8 characters, at least one number and at least one special character. A checklist under the password box ticks off each rule as you type. If the email already has an account, the page tells you so. Use Sign in instead.

Confirm your email

Straight after you sign up, the hub opens a Confirm your email page and sends a six digit code to your address. Type it into the boxes and click Confirm. If you paste the whole code into the first box, the page fills every box and submits it for you.

  • The code is valid for 15 minutes.
  • If it hasn't arrived, check your spam folder, then click Send a new code. You can ask for another one every 60 seconds, and each new code cancels the earlier ones.
  • After 10 wrong codes the page locks for 15 minutes.
  • If you typed the wrong address, click Use a different email, enter the right one and click Send code to this address. Your account keeps everything else.
  • At the bottom of the page there is a sign out link, for starting again with a different account.

Until your email is confirmed, the hub keeps sending you back to this page. You can't open any product before then.

Set up your organisation and choose a plan

After you confirm your email you land on your hub dashboard. If your organisation has no plan yet, a banner says Pick a product to get started. Click See what is included to open the Subscriptions page, then choose See plans on the Aimy Expert card.

You do not create the organisation as a separate step. If this is your first purchase, you name it while you pay, and it is created for you with you as its owner.

Your first purchase

The purchase has two steps, numbered across the top of the page: Choose a plan and Confirm.

  1. Choose a plan. Aimy Expert is sold as Business and Professional. Business carries a Most start here flag. A third card, Enterprise, shows Quoted instead of a price, because it is priced against scope. Its button, Talk to us about scope, opens the support form. Above the cards, choose Monthly or Yearly. For a new buyer, Yearly is already selected. Choose Get Started on the plan you want.
  2. Confirm. The next screen is titled Confirm your order. It asks for your Organisation name. That is the name on your invoices, and nobody can change it from the hub or Aimy Expert afterwards, so check the spelling. If it ever needs correcting, contact support.

The rest of the Confirm step is the same for everyone:

  1. The bill shows your plan, the Subtotal, SST (8%) and the Total.
  2. Enter a Voucher code if you have one. It is optional, and the Voucher codes page explains how they work.
  3. Tick the box agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy and the PDPA Notice. The second box, for product news and offers, is optional.
  4. Click Continue to payment and pay by card on the payment page. Back returns you to the plans.

Whoever creates the organisation becomes its owner. The owner is the only person who can change the plan or buy a plan. Everyone else you invite joins as a member. For what each plan includes, see Plans.

There is no free trial for Aimy Expert. The product opens once the organisation has a plan. If you want to talk to someone before buying, the dashboard has a Talk to us first button.

The Set up your organisation page

Some people arrive at a page titled Set up your organisation, for example after following an invitation email. What it offers depends on whether anyone has invited your exact email address.

  • You have an invitation. The first option is Join followed by the organisation's name. Click that button to join it. Below it is Or start your own, if you would rather create a separate organisation.
  • No invitation. You only see Create your organisation, with fields for Organisation name and an optional Voucher code, and a Create organisation button. A line at the bottom says Expecting an invitation? and tells you to ask the organisation's admin to invite this exact address, then reload the page.

The page warns that the organisation name cannot be changed afterwards. If you already belong to an organisation, the page sends you back to the dashboard instead. Creating an organisation here does not give it a plan, so choose a plan from your dashboard next.

Open Aimy Expert

Once your plan is active, your hub dashboard lists Aimy Expert under On Cloud. Click the button on its card that starts with Open. Company admins arrive on the Dashboard. Members arrive in Chat.

If the card says your organisation has no plan for the app, ask whoever manages billing to choose one. The card names them where it can. For a tour of the hub and the admin area, see Finding your way around.

Signing in later

Go to the hub and enter your Email and Password, then click Sign in. If a bookmarked link sent you to the sign in page, you go back to where you were headed afterwards.

The hub has no Remember me option, so you may be asked to sign in again after your session ends.

If you forget your password

  1. On the sign in page, click Forgot your password?.
  2. Enter your email and click Send reset link. For privacy, the page gives the same reply whether or not the address has an account.
  3. Open the email and use its link. The page is titled Set a new password. Enter the new password twice. The same checklist as sign up shows what is still missing, and a line under the second box tells you when the two match.
  4. Click Reset password, then Sign in with the new one.

The link works once, and only for 30 minutes. Asking for a new link cancels any earlier one. If you open a link that has been used or has expired, the page says so and offers Request a new link. You can also start a reset from your profile, with Send me a reset link.

Your profile

Open Profile in the hub sidebar. The details here are shared by every app on your account, so Aimy Expert uses the same name and phone number.

  • Full name and Phone can be edited. Pick the country dial code from the list beside the number.
  • Email is shown but cannot be changed here, because it identifies you across every Aimy product. If it needs to change, contact support.
  • Click Save changes. The button stays off until you change something.

Below the form, Your account lists facts you cannot edit: your email and whether it is Verified, your role, Member since, the date of your last sign in (in Malaysia time) and a Password row with the reset link. If your last sign in was not you, change your password and tell support.

Where these details are used is a table of your products. For each, it shows the organisation you belong to and a You own this tag where that is true.

Invite colleagues

Invite people from Add member under Access in the sidebar. The Members page covers it in full. What the person you invite sees depends on whether they already have an account:

  • New to Aimy. The invitation email links to a sign up page that is already tied to your organisation. It is titled Join followed by your organisation's name, and the email field is locked to the invited address. They choose a name and password, and they are in. No confirmation code is needed, because the invitation went to that address.
  • Already has an Aimy account. They sign in with the invited email. If their account doesn't belong to an organisation yet, the hub offers a button to join yours.

Invited people take a seat on your plan. The number of seats depends on the plan, and your Dashboard shows how many you have used.
